If you are off campus, please login through Blackboard and click through to the USF Libraries homepage. If you have any questions, please contact the Nelson Poynter Library Reference Desk at 727-873-4124.
Education: a SAGE full-text collection (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts). 1982 to date.
Includes the full text of 19 journals published by SAGE and participating societies. Every bibliographic record in the collection links to the appropriate full-text in PDF format.
ERIC (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts). 1967 to date.
Probably the foremost index in education, consisting of CIJE (citations and summaries of journal articles) and RIE (citations and summaries for the ERIC document collection).
PsycINFO (Ebsco). 1887 to date.
PsycINFO covers, in addition, dissertations, books, and foreign-language journals. However, it does not provide full text article; instead use SFX (see below) to access the electronic version of articles.
Wilson OmniFile Full-Text. 1994 to date. WilsonWeb
This multidisciplinary database delivers full-text articles published by the H. W. Wilson Company. Since a good many of the most popular education journals are indexed in one or more of these indexes, WilsonOmniFile is a good source for educational subjects.
Selected Refereed Journals:
Finding Books (USF Libraries Catalog):
Most of the material on this subject is located on the third floor of the Library under the classification QA135.5. Additional information and locations can be found by using the USF Libraries, Online Catalog under the Subject Keywords: Mathematics–study and teaching.
Yearbooks:
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics has been publishing an annual yearbook since 1926. Poynter Library carries these, beginning with 1953 through the current date. The set is located on the third floor of the library in the classification number QA1 .N3. Volumes from 1983 to date are indexed in the Wilson OmniFile FT Mega Edition database (note, however, that the full-text of the articles is not available).
