Selected
Journals
Following
is a list of selected serial titles which are available at
Poynter Library. Many additional journals are available
either in print or online. Use the USF Libraries Online Catalog to locate specific holdings. The
USF Libraries web site provides access to an extensive list
of electronic journals. Use the e-journal
locator to determine if the title you need is available
in pdf format or if selected articles from a journal may be
included within a particular database. More titles may be
available through interlibrary loan.
Finding
Books
The
following resources are available at the Poynter Library.
Books on ethics may be located in several areas.
Generally, books on ethics are shelved under call number BJ.
Related materials may be classified under other call
numbers: medical ethics (R724-R725), business ethics (HF5387),
philosophy (B), etc. The Library of Congress Subject
Headings books, located in the reference area, provide numerous
suggestions for additional, specific subjects relating to
ethics.

volume deals with ethical theories and issues as they relate
to the field of business. Articles are relatively

resource attempts a multidisciplinary approach by examining
the ethical, theological, and political issues that have

wonderful resource for an introduction to ethical issues
in a wide variety of disciplines. Ethical applications
in business, politics, education, health and science are
all included in this multi-volume set. Each article
includes a short glossary and a bibliography.

Although
becoming somewhat dated, this highly-regarded encyclopedia
continues to provide a wealth of information on a wide variety
of topics relating to biological and medical ethics.
Articles are lengthy, well-balanced, and include bibliographies.
An extensive appendix in volume 5 provides
the full-text of landmark ethical codes and directives.

volume. The topics are selected based on current
issues in the news, making the index at the back of each
volume critical for locating specific topics.
