The Nelson Poynter Memorial Library is a place where people can come and get personalized service. Librarians and other staff are happy to provide that service; people will go out of their way to help students be successful, to help them find just what it is that they need for their course assignment or their research paper. It's a beautiful facility, fully ADA compliant and with wireless connectivity throughout. We're located right on Bayboro Harbor and the views from the building are astounding. The atrium artwork was designed by USF alumnus Robert Calvo and it represents the three great libraries of antiquity- Nineva, Pergamum and Alexandria. We offer a full array of traditional library services and in addition to that we provide distance learning support, support for classroom technology, and AV support for campus events. We also have a broadcast studio for filming distance courses, videoconferencing, and connecting to webinars. In this building we have about 300,000 items available for research: books, journals, videos, and special collections. Through our partnership with the USF system we also have access to a wide array of over a million electronic resources that are available 24/7. The Nelson Poynter Memorial Library is the best combination of aesthetics and functionality that I've seen in any library that I've worked in.
