Copying & Printing
Two multifunction copier/printers are available in the lobby on the 1st floor of the Poynter Library, located between the Circulation and Reference service desks. Prints and copies are available at a rate of 15 cents per page for black and white, and 20 cents per page for color. The two printers have been named “Penguin” for black and white prints, and “Peacock” for color prints.
The library has transitioned to a cardless print and copy system; the USF ID and/or vending card is no longer necessary. Coins or bills can be used on the new machines, in denominations of $10 or less. A coin changing station is available to convert your $1, $5, or $10 bills into quarters for use in the multifunction machines, although each machine is capable of operating on both coins (nickels, dimes or quarters) as well as cash ($1 and $5 denominations only). This new process eliminates the USF card as a method of payment, with the goal of having an online printing service available in the future integrated into students' Blackboard accounts.
For more detailed information, including descriptions and usage procedures, please visit our Printing & Copying page.
Users who have remaining balances on their cards are welcome to use their balance in the Campus Computing labs, and can begin using the new system immediately. Microform printing is now free of charge, and is located in the northwest corner of the 1st floor.
