The 13th annual parade, which honors slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., wound its way through windy and sometimes rainy downtown St. Petersburg.
A staple of the St. Petersburg landscape, the parade is sponsored by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
Some 24 bands and 90 walking groups, cars and floats drew crowds who lined the route from the Vinoy Resort to Tropicana Field in 1998. |
