GETTING STARTED

Get your USF ID Number (U#)

Your USF ID Number is a 8-digit number preceded by a the letter "U" (U1234-5678). You are issued an ID number when you are accepted to a USF location and should be included in your acceptance letter. If you don't know your U#, contact the USF Admissions & Records Office.

Get your NetID

You will use your NetID to log into your classes on MyUSF as well as to gain access to library resources. To apply for a NetID, go to https://netid.usf.edu/una/

Get your USF ID Card

Your USF ID identifies you as a USF student. It also contains your library bar code so you will be able to check out materials and request items through the ILLiAD system. You can get your card in Saint Petersburg at the Library's ID Card center. If you are not in St. Petersburg, see the USFCard FAQ's at the USF Tampa's Information Technology web page for information about getting a card.

Verify your ID with the Library

Your ID card will include your Library Bar Code, a 14-digit number beginning with "205-". You will need to have your ID verified by the Poynter Library Circulation staff. This process requires the last four digits of your SSN and will only take a few seconds to complete. Please complete this process as soon as you purchase and receive your USF ID. For more information, call the Circulation Desk at 727-873-4405.
