ADA Access Services Overview The Nelson Poynter Memorial Library Staff is eager to assist you in using the resources and services available within the library and through on-line services. We encourage you to stop at any service desk for assistance. We can usually respond to requests for brief assistance, such
as retrieving a book from the stacks or assisting with using
the on-line catalog for a few citations. However, you are encouraged
to make arrangements in advance if you anticipate the need
for lengthy assistance, and a staff member will be assigned
for this purpose. The Library building and restrooms are wheelchair-accessible. The Library Entrance has automatic doors for wheelchair access. Five wheelchair-accessible parking spaces are available adjacent to library on the North side. One Hoverround brand electric wheelchair is available for use on request. Narrow profile provides access to stack areas too narrow for some electric wheelchairs, and features a power seat that can lift to provide access to higher stack shelves. Books can also be retrieved from stacks by library staff on request.
